The first full-length trailer for Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald is FINALLY here!
Despite Newt Scamander helping the Magical Congress of the United States of Americacapture big bad Gellert Grindelwald in Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, when the sequel picks up, he’s escaped and a young Albus Dumbledore enlists Newt to help thwart his plan to gather as many followers as he can to help raise up pure-blood wizards to rule over all non-magical beings.
Obviously, the trailer shows Newt reunited with his American friends Tina, Queenie, and Jacob, but it also gives a first look at the new characters we’ll meet in the sequel.
Like Zoe Kravitz as Leta Lestrange, Newts former Hogwarts classmate who he still holds a flame for despite her engagement to his older brother.
And the super creepy Gellert Grindelwald (seriously — he’s giving Voldemort a run for his money).
It gives us a first look at Young Dumbledore in action. Jude Law definitely nails Dumbeldore’s whimsically wise nature!
But most importantly, the trailer does all the loyal Harry Potter fans out there a major solid by taking us back to the familiar magical school we love so much!
